Fr. Francis, SJ, and Naomi Mutunga both from The Proposed University, in the company of Fr. Joseph Mboya, SJ, and Nafisa Ayukavi who is a Child Safeguarding policy facilitator visited the Molo community in relation to the proposed soccer club for the youth (both girls & boys).  The program  attracted over 70 participants within 18-25 years age band. Also,  there was a considerable number of girls showed interest in joining the female football team.

The Proposed Hekima University managed to organize a preliminary meeting with the youth in Baraka, Molo community with help from Fr. Evans Kulei, and Wycliffe Imbwajuu a Local football referee / coach for the under 18’s and senior teams in Molo. The deliberations focused on social activities that will provide a platform to further address issues affecting the youth population.  As a proposed university fratanity, one of our pillars is inclusion “No one is left behind” and believe we have a special responsibility to reach out to the local community concerning development, advancement, sharing faith & resources, and building community as well as addressing some of the challenges afflicting them.

Further consultations are ongoing to ensure that all the teams are operational.
